We at XPO are a driving force behind many industries in the UK. You have probably seen our trucks on the road networks, and some you may not have even realised were ours. But to keep our business ahead, we need an amazing team of Vehicle Maintenance Technicians to service and maintain our growing and diverse fleet.

Were looking for the next wave of technicians and have the exciting opportunity for an apprentice to join us at our site in Crick. Youll work 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday (no weekends ??), and play a vital part in learning how to keep our fleet maintained, serviced, and safe.

The apprenticeship will see you going to a local college to learn how to become a vehicle maintenance technician, with the rest of your time spent working with our skilled technicians on our XPO site.

This role is just the beginning of your growth at XPO. This apprenticeship could be the start of your career within Logistics, with the possibility of moving into Management roles.

This programme will offer a large amount of diversity when it comes to vehicle maintenance, learning from experienced technicians, exposure to the latest technology including alternative fuel like HVO or electric vehicles, to name a few.

Were looking to offer a competitive hourly rate ranging from £6.40 to £11.44 (age dependent), with the possibility that during the time youre on programme, your rate will rise incrementally.

What youll do on a typical day:

Working to DVSA standards to carry out MOT preparations, servicing, and repairs on our fleet of HGVs

Work alongside our experienced technicians and learning from the best

Diagnosing faults on vehicles and working on how to repair them

Working on Rigid vehicles, Tractor units and Trailers

Tail lift and lifting deck fault finding and repairs

What you need to succeed at XPO:

An interest in heavy goods vehicles

The drive to succeed, get stuck in and learn as much as possible when on programme

A full UK driving licence (desirable)

Be part of something big
