Living or working in Broadstairs means you have access to one of the best beaches in the county! Broadstairs is located in the gorgeous county of Kent, sitting between Margate and Ramsgate. Furthermore, the town’s excellent transport links mean its popularity is skyrocketing. Living in Broadstairs provides buyers excellent links across the county and into the capital, making it an ideal location for those happy to commute a little further.

The team

Companion care Broadstairs consists of three vets, six nurses and four receptionists. They are a closed knitted team with lots of good banter and support between all members. The practise is fairly busy on a daily basis with both routine and advanced surgery, and investigations of different sorts. The team strive to work close together to offer the best learning opportunities for new vets, allowing for hands-on experience under supervision from the start. Our goal is to provide top quality care from our patients and support for our clients.

The role

Our award-winning, 2-year programme is designed by vets to give new graduates like you, the best possible start to your practice career.

Joining one of our network of UK practices, you’ll train on the job with experienced Veterinary Partners and Practice Owners, at a pace that works for you. We’ll find you a role that suits you, in terms of location and culture fit. And, with Vets for Pets and Companion Care practices of all shapes and sizes across the country, there’s a perfect place for everyone!

With our support, and emphasis on your wellbeing, you can realise and maintain your full potential in an environment that encourages a healthy work/life balance too.

You’ll be supported from day one by a dedicated Vet GDP Advisor, as well as the graduate and clinical teams, and online by 1,300+ vets within our clinical community.

You’ll also be able to take paid leave to attend the tailored CPD events we hold. The high-quality events we deliver as part of the programme usually comprise subjects such as practical dentistry, practical surgery, radiography, dermatology, cardiology, and more.

As you build your confidence in caring for pets and their owners, you’ll grow your own client base and see continuity of cases with the support of your wider team.
