Graduate Programme

This role will play a significant part in the development and growth of the external engagement activities of the Regional Communications Team, supporting customer engagement events and activities as well as digital campaign development to help drive innovation through the contractual work the team delivers for Municipal and Treatment customers.

As part of the Graduate Development Programme, you will go through a structured development programme, undertaking leadership, management, soft skills and safety modules with your graduate cohort.

What will you be doing

  • Supporting the team to plan and deliver high profile client events
  • Working with the team to ensure that policy changes are communicated effectively to customers
  • Creating excellent working relationships across the Corp affairs teams, including Policy, Press and Internal Comms
  • Researching and developing new digital communication strategies and supporting the team to apply them to contract communication campaigns

What are we looking for

  • Any degree with interest in digital communication and public relations (to be achieved before September 2024)
  • Drivers Licence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Good organisational and project management skills
  • Waste Management or environmental knowledge (Desirable)
