Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you’ll do at work

No prior experience is necessary — full training will be provided

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn to upholster a wide variety of furniture items from frame to finish
  • Assist in preparing materials such as fabrics, foams, and frames
  • Use hand tools and power tools (e.g. staple guns, drills) safely and effectively
  • Support the team in maintaining high-quality standards and meeting production deadlines
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace
  • Follow all health & safety procedures and company policies
  • Take part in training sessions and shadow experienced upholsterers to build your skills
