What will I be doing?

As an apprentice, your four-year development programme will be made up of up to 4 placement rotations. Our aim is to equip you with the range of skills and experience you need for your successful career.

Your two-year development programme will be made up of up to four placement rotations. Our aim is to equip you with the range of skills and experience you need for a successful career. We also understand that everyone’s career is different, so every Apprentice’s journey is unique.

The scheme structure is as follows:

You will start with a 4-week operational placement on London Underground

This is followed by a 6-month office-based placement that is arranged for you

You will then have a 4-week surface operational placement, such as working on river boats or supporting our policing colleagues to ensure the security of our network

Your first and second placement is assigned by your Apprenticeship Sponsor.

You will have the flexibility to tailor your third- and fourth-year placements to match the areas of the business you are interested in. Your final placement will take place alongside a compulsory research project that will explore a business improvement which could support your dissertation.
