We seek a Trainee Transport Manager who can work with the current Transport Manager and gain the CPC qualification to run our fleet of HGV Tippers. Grabs & Skip Trucks.

You need to be a driver looking to step up into this role and you will already be conversant as a driver with a lot of the compliance required. On the job training will be given. Other duties will include taking calls and booking orders, planning daily routes and conversing with the drivers to make sure everything is delivered on time.

Inspecting vehicles, ensuring their safety and checking to see if they need maintenance work;
Organising and maintaining the efficiency of the entire transport service;
Arranging routine maintenance of vehicles;
Communicating with vehicle drivers, ensuring that they are kept up to date with relevant training and/or qualifications;
Organising and scheduling transport staff shifts;
Conducting risk assessments of transport systems;
Organising training and development days for staff;
Working out a strategy that factors in customer satisfaction and ease-of-use.

Competitive Salary based on experience.

5 Days a week Mon-Fri
