Type: Full Time Permanent Monday-Friday Job Summary: Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager to join our dynamic construction team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for recent graduates with a degree in Project Management who are eager to begin their careers in the construction industry. The Junior Project Manager will assist in planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects from inception to completion under the guidance of senior project managers. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Coordination: Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets.

Support the Senior Project Manager in coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Participate in project meetings and help prepare meeting minutes and reports. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, and other regulatory requirements.

Ensure all project activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and legal requirements. Communication: Act as a point of contact for project stakeholders, responding to inquiries and providing updates as necessary.

Sit in on key project meetings with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders to understand about internal processes. Taking notes and reporting back to the Senior Project Manager.

Assist in preparing and delivering progress reports and presentations to senior management and clients. Resource Management: Initially observing methods and eventually play a key role in managing project resources, including materials, equipment, and labor.

Monitor and report on project expenditures and ensure they align with the budget. Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and issues, and assist in developing mitigation strategies.

Support the implementation of quality control procedures to ensure project deliverables meet the required standards. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management or related field. Experience: No prior work experience is required; however, internships or coursework related to project management and construction are advantageous. Desirable certifications: SMSTS, CSCS Card, First Aid at Work or any additional Health & Safety training. Essential that candidate have a clean full UK driving license with access to their own vehicle as this role requires travelling to site. Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ideally some experience working with MS Projects but this is not essential as successful candidate can be trained.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Additional Information: Work Environment: This position may require working on construction sites, which could involve exposure to various weather conditions and physical demands. Benefits: Our client offers a competitive salary and benefits package which includes expense reimbursement. As a benchmark and to manage expectations our client will be looking to pay in the range of £23,000-£25,000.
