The Lost Kitchen is a fun, fast paced restaurant. Our kitchen team are collaborative and make everything from scratch using local produce, meat from our neighbouring farms and vegetables from the small kitchen garden.

As a commis chef starting position the most junior culinary role, you’ll prepare food and carry out basic cooking tasks under the supervision of a more senior chef.

The primary objective is to learn and understand how to carry out the basic functions in every section of the kitchen. You most likely won’t have wood-fired cooking skills, but we fully appreciate that an interest in fire cooking mixed with a willingness to learn and gain experience in our professional kitchen environment is a great start. If you become a dedicated member of our team, we would be happy in working with you on your journey of cooking with fire, lighting your imagination, creating great dishes and moving up the ranks.

We offer equal share of tronc tips. We open Wednesday to Sunday with 21 days holiday a year pro rata, with Christmas off.

You will assist the smooth running of operations, including monitoring stock, maintaining daily production levels and food safety standards, helping to prepare for seasonal dishes and ensuring that guidelines are followed.
