Our impact services are designed to meet the growing investor demand and market expectation for greater confidence and credibility in impact creation and are underpinned by three ‘i’s – intentionality, integration and integrity. We have strong sector specialism providing services to investors in social and affordable housing, commercial real estate, SME Finance and health.

Building on our highly influential 2021 Paper, TGE’s Place-Based Impact Investing (PBII) work is about catalysing and shaping the market for place-based impact investing that delivers real benefits to local people and places in collaboration with others. TGE’s diverse clients include large-scale asset managers, private equity investors, specialist social impact investors, pension funds, development finance institutions, businesses, social enterprises, charities and government bodies. The Senior Consultant will support our Head of PBII in originating, managing and delivering TGE’s PBII services for fund managers, Local and Combined Authorities and other place stakeholders such as Universities and NHS Trusts. The work will include strategic advisory projects, groundbreaking research to help build the PBII market and supporting the PBII Network which TGE manages on behalf of our public and private sector clients.

Act as a key team member with responsibility for specific client projects, delegating appropriately and communicating effectively to achieve results.

~Bring knowledge and experience that allows you to act as a trusted and seasoned advisor to our clients in the field of Place-based Impact Investing.

~ Lead the delivery of PBII services, including analysis of quantitative and qualitative data and drafting reports.

~ Develop new business by leading bids, writing proposals and pro-actively seeking new client opportunities across the funding ecosystem.

~ 5+ years of experience in consultancy, managing and delivering strategy projects, either within an organisation or as an external advisor.

~ A degree or relevant professional qualification in a relevant field such as economics / economic development, planning or finance,

~ Proven experience working with public sector organisations, asset managers, or other organisations on topics such as economic development, social impact and place-based public-private partnerships.

~ Experience across the transaction lifecycle, including financial modelling and integrating social impact into investment decision-making processes and contractual terms.

~ Excellent communication skills and ability to develop collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders, especially local government, asset managers and developers.

~ Strong research skills and competence in quantitative and qualitative data analysis

~ Excellent report writing and presentational skills.
