- Working alongside audit teams assisting in the review of tax disclosures and other tax items in the accounts.
- Interacting with global EY teams on tax compliance engagements and gaining an overview of tax requirements worldwide.
- Building important relationships with clients through meetings and day-to-day work.
- Receiving regular mentoring to allow you to eventually coach and manage onshore junior and offshore resource to facilitate the delivery of your work.
Eligibility for applying
We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone. You will, however, need to be working towards an honours degree in any subject, have a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, or in your home language if you do not hold English Language GCSE, and three A-levels/Five Highers (or equivalent) to be eligible to apply.
We welcome applications from all academic backgrounds and are looking for individuals who will succeed at EY in the desired role and future qualifications, therefore throughout our recruitment process your academic performance will be considered against your online assessment scores to determine your suitability for an EY role. We are also proud to partner with RARE recruitment, so that your application can be processed in the context of your socio-economic background. This allows us to give you the maximum credit for your achievements, assessing whether you have overachieved in light of your personal circumstances.
Eligibility for visa sponsorship
Please see visa sponsorship details below for this programme, for locations: London, Luton, and Reading.
Visa sponsorship is available for this position on a limited basis. EY’s ability to make an offer of employment is subject to the UK immigration rules in force at the relevant time. This position is one that meets the current thresholds required for sponsorship by EY. Please note, however, that EY has a set number of Certificate of Sponsorship applications that can be made each year. If you require sponsorship and this limit is reached and/or UK immigration rules are not capable of being met, this will prevent EY from being able to sponsor you and we will not be able to progress your application.
We can sponsor using the Skilled Worker visa New Entrant salary threshold for this particular vacancy. Your eligibility for the New Entrant rate must subsist for the entire duration of the Graduate programme (please refer to the section ‘Programme length’).
The criteria to be eligible for the New Entrant rate are (subject to change by the UK Government): you’re under 26 on the date you apply; you’re currently in the UK on a student visa studying at bachelor’s degree level or above; you’re currently in the UK on a Graduate visa and your total stay in the UK by the end of your EY Graduate programme plus the date you applied for your Graduate visa will be less than 4 years. Each visa application is unique to the individual and there may be other criteria which mean you are not eligible for visa sponsorship. EY will assess your individual circumstances and we may be required to withdraw your application or offer of employment if EY cannot sponsor your visa.
Please see visa sponsorship details below for this programme, for locations: Aberdeen, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, and Newcastle.
We’re unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role due to UK Home Office regulations. Therefore, we cannot accept applications for this role from those who would require EY visa sponsorship. This includes individuals who have or plan to apply for a Graduate visa, as we are unable to convert your Graduate visa to a Skilled Worker visa before the end of your EY Graduate programme.
We have a variety of other vacancies which can support visa sponsorship where needed. We encourage you to explore these opportunities and find the one that aligns with your career aspirations. You can find out which vacancies are able to support applications from candidates who require visa sponsorship by looking at the individual vacancy pages.
