Loan Trading is part of the Distribution & Credit Solutions business line, which brings together talents working on credit, from primary syndication to credit trading, including engineering, with the support of a unified credit sales team from GLBA & MARK, to leverage the entire GBIS distribution platform. The Loan Trading desk operates as Market Maker desk on Loans (Leverage loans, Corporate, Emerging and Structured Finance), also providing market colour to and executing Loan transactions on behalf of other SG Business Lines. Underlying loans and credit risk include Leveraged Loans, TMT, Commercial Real Estate, Infrastructure, Shipping, Aircraft, Emerging Markets, Project Finance (Energy: oil & gas, Renewable), Corporate Finance. The Loan Trading teams works closely with Loan Sales, Financing traders, Syndicate and Originating Business Lines. The Loan Trading trainee’s primary function will be to support the Loan Trading team, by providing timely and accurate information to help execute trades, and meaningfully contribute to the profitability of the group. Assist with the preparation of loan trading documentation and execution. Prepare marketing documents and data rooms, assist with the preparation of internal credit reviews, secondary pricing, update financial models and commentaries on leveraged borrowers and other corporates and perform ad hoc research. Assist with risk management and monitoring (daily recaps, P&L reporting, permanent supervision, etc.) Assist with the monitoring of credits and market trends, researching economic and financial information Assist with the preparation of loan trading documentation and execution Support the desk with credit and financial analysis including peer analysis, secondary pricing, Q&A process, drafting of internal credit summaries Build and/or update financial and pricing models Assist with risk management and monitoring (daily recaps, P&L reporting, permanent supervision controls, etc.) Update and improve internal databases Produce marketing materials Prepare data rooms Assist the desk with KYCs process Maintain strong adherence to SG compliance matters including relevant training. Profile required Analytical skills Communication skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize Response workloads in a timely manner Diligent, accurate Team spirit Self-motivated, autonomous, and proactive Technical skills Numeracy Writing skills Knowledge of fixed income markets would be a plus Good command of Excel/ PowerPoint/Word.
