Senior Manufacturing EngineerShifts: DaysContract type: PermanentOur client is a leader in the Rail Rolling Stock Manufacturing sector. Working at their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, you will be the subject matter expert specifically within their car-bodies/welding department working as part of the wider manufacturing engineering team. You will be supporting the manufacturing processes scope from inception / mobilisation to delivery, covering such as from technical review. BOMs maintenance, tooling, technical support, methods / process development, design study, workstation layout et-al ensuring best practice and innovation throughout.Reviewing specification and evaluating of production tools

  • Producing business cases for Capex projects
  • Providing technical support to all staff to ensure technical specifications are achieved in line with all manufacturing competencies, SOPs, MBOMBs, SOPS and equipment provided. SAP, SharePoint, Windchill etc)
  • Full responsibility for the implementation of design changes, including MCN management
  • Mentorship and training of Junior Engineers where appropriate

A strong background in manufacturing/production engineering is a must

  • A HNC qualification or above in some form of Engineering discipline
  • Candidates must have an understand of welding procedures and processes
  • Experience using SAP systems would be advantageous
