The Opportunity: 

Do you like to be out and about during your working day? Are you a budding food graduate brimming with passion and looking to gain experience with a highly innovative food tech business? With a goal to delight our client and consumers this continually growing food tech business works closely with the major suppliers and are now seeking a Junior Product & Nutritionist Specialist to join our dedicated team. 

You’ll enjoy the challenge of keeping one step ahead of your competitors, researching seasonal food trends and undertaking competitor analysis whilst benchmarking to bring a high level of innovation to fast moving categories. We are passionate about inspiring and empowering our colleagues and clients to be the best we can be.  This role is to support the business around special dietary products, deliver on-site training and audits on allergen management, deliver nutrition advice across a range of gym clientele.

  • To own the performance and relationships with every client, as if it were your own business.
  • You’ll be personable and have excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with peers and colleagues across the various client gym sites.
  • Build solid account plans to ensure we are consistently delivering on service and revenue targets.
  • Ideally you will have knowledge of the types of food and nutrition you would find in a health shop and gym with the most appropriate way to use these.
  • Passionate about delivering service and solutions with a real eye for detail: understanding the importance of delivering a branded solution.
  • To be able to create and deliver management information that is accurate and beneficial to internal and external parties on a regular basis as agreed with the client.
  • Analyse account performance on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis, whilst continually adapting the actions or direction required to ensure your accounts perform for our clients and the business.
  • Develop strategies and tools to ensure each account is managed effectively and influencing internal departments that have an impact.
  • Develop contacts and build relationships with key decision makers and influencers within each account, to ensure products are delivering to client expectations.
  • Deliver on site training and audits on allergen management
  • Deliver nutrition lesson to clients and consumers on site to increase product   
  • Support the food tech business around special dietary product
    • An understanding of Sport Science and Nutritional advice within a Gym Group environment.
    • Knowledge of field and gym-based testing and how it can be applied in professional sport products
    • A real passion for food, be happy to get hands on with our suppliers and thrive in on the hustle and bustle of a busy environment
    • You will have great organisational skills and a can-do attitude.
    • Good knowledge in nutrition UK and EU Food Information Regulation
    • Good understanding of the composition of foods.
    • Knowledge with nutrition calculation programmes
