Save My Exams is a rapidly growing EdTech business on the lookout for ambitious Finance Intern who has gained academic background within MA/MBA in Finance and is looking to get hands-on experience in the fast scaling start-up

Reaching up to 2m monthly active users and on our way to 110,000 paying members, all while being bootstrapped, we’re looking for an ambitious graduate, who is excited to learn more about finance in a growing organization and also be a part of the close-knit and dynamic team.

The Role

Save My Exams is looking for a motivated Finance student or graduate for a 3-month internship to support the CFO with specific projects as detailed below along with general work to support the smooth running of the team.

You will work on market analysis, create entry plans, research trends and competitors, and prepare reports for senior management.

Your Responsibilities:

Over the 3 month internship you’ll:

  • Assist in developing comprehensive market analysis frameworks to evaluate new market entry opportunities.
  • Support the creation of actionable market entry plans, including go-to-market strategies and financial projections.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and potential barriers to entry.
  • Participate in competitor benchmarking and analysis to identify strategic advantages.
  • Help prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Perform market sizing exercises to estimate the total addressable market (TAM) and potential revenue opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate market assumptions and refine market size estimates.
  • Support business development efforts by identifying potential business partners and strategic alliances.

Requirements

Must-haves

  • Currently finishing your last year in BSc or Masters/ MBA in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial analysis and market research methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in business development or partnership management.
  • Prior internship experience in finance or related fields.

  • Competitive annual salary of £2,000 – £2,500 dependent on experience & skills and where in the world you are.
  • Remote working: we’re UK based – work from your home or wherever you want, as long as it’s +/- 3 hours within GMT time zone. 
  • Flexible working hours: We don’t expect (or want) you to spend every waking hour at work. Our general working hours are 9-6pm, however we have a company-wide principle around Core Hours, which is 10-4pm and you can work at times that suit you and your team.
