The Role of Aircraft Technician (Avionics)

As an Aircraft Technician (Avionics), you’ll be the hidden hero behind every flight, ensuring our jets soar with peak performance. From radar and communication systems to target acquisition equipment, you’ll master the intricate world of onboard electronics, keeping our pilots informed and our missions successful.

Think you’re up for the challenge?

  • Minimum education requirements: GCSE grade C/4 in English, Maths and a Science/Technology subject.

  • Be aged 16-47 (must attest before 48th birthday).

  • Be a citizen of the UK or dual UK/ other nationality

  • Commit to a minimum 3 years post-training.

  • Pass the Defence Aptitude Assessment and Fitness Test.
