You will be spending your time supporting a variety of children who require extra help at school. Working across a variety of year groups, you will find ways to unlock and nurture their learning potential. Prior knowledge of SEND would be advantageous although not a prerequisite.

Your role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant will involve supporting teachers in class and you will also be given the opportunity to teach smaller groups independently and work 1:1 with students.

To succeed, you will need to have a love for learning and a never-give-up attitude. In moments where you encounter challenging behaviour, you will follow the schools behaviour policies and implement strategies to help your pupils to remain calm.

Pending a successful year as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, the school can offer paid routes into Teacher Training from September 2025.
