About you

You will be passionate about the creation of real-world technology and the benefits it brings for society, the economy and environmental sustainability.  We’re looking for graduates with IT based or Electrical Engineering degrees, however a background in rail is not needed – we will give you the product and domain training needed to succeed in this role.

About the role

As a Graduate Systems Engineer in our Control Systems division you will:

  • Be involved throughout the whole product life cycle (from initial solution design right through to delivery and support)
  • Provide technical input for projects (technical consultancy) – recommending upgrade paths and product solutions
  • Deliver technical solutions for projects
  • Fault find/investigate works and analyse / look to improve existing products with innovative IT or hardware solutions
  • Undertake configuration management
  • Work on site to deploy solutions or undertake investigations

Location, Work and travel requirements

The role is Derby-based with deployment work at client Control Centres a key requirement.  We offer a hybrid approach to work location, however night working, working weekends, public holidays, and travel and hotel stays are required for delivery.  A full, clean, driving licence is an advantage.
