About you

You will be passionate about the creation of real-world technology and the benefits it brings for society, the economy and environmental sustainability.  Those with degrees in engineering or STEM subjects will be particularly suited to this graduate programme, but we are open to a range of applications so long as you have a genuine passion to build a career working with technology. A background in rail is not needed, but an interest in making transport better for the customer is great!

 You will be supported throughout the program to help you get up to speed with the product and rail domain understanding, as well as being assigned a mentor and buddy to help you along the way!

About the role

As a Graduate Engineering Project Manager within our Control Systems division you will:

  • Get involved with day-to-day project delivery with the goal of managing a portfolio of projects to time, cost and quality
  • Take on responsibility for client relationships
  • Build a clear understanding of scope commitments and performance targets
  • Develop a thorough understanding of internal and external governance expectations
  • Be responsible for reporting on key project metrics
  • Develop a technical understanding of resonate products and their delivered outcomes for our clients
  • Undertake internal rotations within the control systems division to build your wider understanding of our business
  • Build expertise to become a competent project manager and gain formal project management qualifications

Location, Work and travel requirements

The role is Derby-based with deployment work at client Control Centres a key requirement.  We offer a hybrid approach to work location, however night working, working weekends, public holidays, and travel and hotel stays are required for delivery.  A full, clean, driving licence is an advantage.
