Role overview: The broad purpose of the Digital and Technology Solution Professional (DTSP) is to evaluate, initiate, create and support business solutions using digital technology. DTSPs use data to evaluate the commercial and security risks and benefits of potential digital and technology solutions before making recommendations for strategies that may have far reaching consequences. DTSPs are influencers in their organisations with a clear focus on delivering business improvements through digital and technological solutions. They have a passion for digital technology; keeping in touch with emerging trends and developments. At Glue Reply, you’ll specialise in Software Integration Development and you will play an important role within our Integration practice, contributing to the development of innovative solutions whilst excelling at client delivery. This role will offer insights into one or more software integration technologies, such as: Mulesoft, WebSphere, Oracle, WebMethods, Talend, Tibco and Boomi. You will enjoy Reply’s diverse working environment, actively engaging in the design and implementation of scalable software solutions. You will learn to deliver class leading integration design and development solutions and will get exposed to integration design and delivery best practice. As a software development apprentice, you will assist in the development of Glue’s intellectual property for the Integration Practice. You’ll also have the opportunity to share your knowledge and experience as well as learn from others within the team. This Digital and Technology Solutions Professional – Software Engineer BSc degree apprenticeship will be delivered in partnership with Queen Mary University London (36 months’ programme). Responsibilities: As a Software Engineer degree apprentice, you’ll learn how to be accountable for the undertaking and completion of the analysis of software engineering business issues for either the entire requirement or subset thereof dependent on complexity and/or scope size You’ll be instrumental in implementing Glue’s software solutions, or part thereof, dependent on complexity, scope size and technology into the environment required (including systems test, user test environment, or live environment as appropriate) You’ll be directly involved in the creation of an over-arching software solution design suitable to resolving our clients’ business issues for either the entire requirement or a subset thereof dependent on complexity and/or scope size. You’ll assist in building our software solutions, or part thereof, dependent on complexity, scope size, and technology As you grow in your role on our team, you may also be required to supervise the work of more junior team members undertaking work in the software solution life-cycle As a Software Engineer, you’ll test that the software solution, or part thereof, dependent on complexity, scope size and technology meets the business needs identifying any remedial actions required You will work closely with all key stakeholders to ensure the software solution or part thereof, dependent on complexity and scope size, is understood and correctly used You’ll facilitate ongoing support of our software solutions or part thereof, dependent on complexity and technology, e. g. by troubleshooting, reverse engineering and conducting root cause analysis As a Software Engineer degree apprentice, you’ll learn how to apply engineering principles to all stages of the software development process, from requirements, analysis and design, development and data requirements You will typically work as part of a large collaborative team and will have responsibility for significant elements of software solutions About you: You are willing to learn and expand your knowledge of multiple programming languages, such as Core Java, Python, Java Script etc Initial experience with coding in any programming language(s) You are currently pursuing/have completed your A-Levels and are expecting/have received at least an overall AAB grade or higher.
