We are seeking a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join our innovative team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with a passion for mechanical design, looking to develop their skills in a practical environment. Proficiency in SolidWorks is essential for success in this position.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Design and develop sheet metal products and special purpose machinery using SolidWorks.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to refine design processes and enhance product functionality.
  • Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing.
  • Participate in prototype development and perform testing to ensure designs meet required standards.
  • Engage with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure components meet quality and cost specifications.
  • Provide support to the production team during the assembly process to resolve any design-related issues.
  • Continuously improve design skills and knowledge of industry trends and advancements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
  • Understanding of sheet metal design and fabrication processes.
  • Knowledge of special purpose machinery design is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the field of mechanical design engineering.
  • MUST be eligible to work in the UK – unable to support sponsorship at any stage.
