As the Apprenticeship Quality Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring quality standards and the effectiveness of our HR and L&D provision. You will need to have extensive knowledge of apprenticeship programme compliance together with Ofsted, awarding bodies and ESFA regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the coordination, delivery, and management of apprenticeship programmes.
  • Manage the development and implementation of a strategy for effective self-assessment.
  • Preparing performance data, and updating on progress against the quality improvement plan.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships including End Point Assessment Organisations, Awarding Bodies, employers and businesses.
  • Responsibility for the annual Self-Assessment Report and ongoing Quality Improvement Plan, compliant with the Education Inspection Framework and Ofsted requirements.
  • Lead inspections and audits from external agencies including Ofsted and ESFA.
  • Ensure that Safeguarding and Prevent requirements are implemented, monitored, and reviewed on an ongoing basis.
  • Undertake other administrative duties necessary to support the Apprenticeship Manager and ensure top quality, continuous improvement, and compliance within the programmes.

Skills and qualifications

  • Experience of managing an apprenticeship quality function is essential.
  • Expert knowledge of education inspection frameworks is essential.
  • Sound understanding of the apprenticeship monitoring requirement (as outlined in the current Apprenticeship funding rules and technical guidance).
  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to engage proactively within a team, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of HR and L&D apprenticeships would be advantageous.
