Junior Financial Controller

My client a Global Asset Management firm is seeking to hire a Junior Financial Controller to support their international finance department in managing the Finance function in covering entities across EMEA & APAC regions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

FINANCIAL CONTROL

Oversee and supervise month end timetable to ensure efficient reporting at month end.

Production of financial statements including audit schedules to ensure timely completion of audits and liaison with the auditors

Oversee balance sheet substantiation process and sign off.

FINANCIAL PLANNING, MANAGEMENT REPORTING & DECISION SUPPORT

Develop management reporting pack which meets the user demands offering clarity and usefulness of information, and simplicity

Production of variance analysis and commentaries

Assist line manager in the preparation of ad-hoc important management information such as Town Hall slides, Board papers, flash report and month end commentaries

Production of monthly AUM reporting

Assist in the development of budgeting/forecasting

TAX

Liaison with external tax consultant support preparation of CT /VAT /WHT returns

FUNDS

Management of fund related expenses e.g. rebates/retrocession processes

Production of fund profitability metrics

Liaison with fund finance teams for accurate recording and reporting the numbers

Oversee the complex elements of revenue that arise, such as performance fees & rebates;

REGULATORY REPORTING

Production of quarterly reporting to CSSF and other regulators

Monitoring of capital adequacy ratios and reporting

Line manager in training junior members of the team

INTERNAL CONTROLS

To support good general internal control environment such as segregation of duties,

Ensure we do not fall foul of our internal audit requirements
