Bank Trainee Decontamination Technician – Bank Hours

We are now inviting applications for the post of Trainee Decontamination Technician.

This exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated and enthusiastic individuals, who have an eye for detail and a desire to make a difference.  A full training programme will be undertaken to ensure the necessary skills are achieved during which you will report to one of our Decontamination Technician Supervisors.

There are opportunities to undertake an apprenticeship either now or in the future.

This job is a starting point for a successful career in medical device decontamination with a development structure and future opportunities for senior roles within the organisation.

The successful applicant must have

  • Sound written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

  • Good computer skills (MS Office package)

  • Flexibility and adaptability

  • Demonstrated customer service skills

  • Willingness to work the occasional night shift once competence is achieved

You are required to have a good level of general education and a desire to progress in the field. Full training will be provided.

Key responsibilities include

  • Performing the full decontamination cycle on re-usable medical devices (surgical instruments) to the highest of standards, in line within all Ramsay policies and procedures

  • Participate fully in quality control processes ensuring procedures and documentation is completed accurately at all times
