Role Overview:

As a KS4 Mathematics Lead, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to deliver exceptional mathematics education to our students. Your role will involve:

Leading the KS4 Mathematics department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.

Developing and implementing innovative teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs.

Mentoring and supporting fellow mathematics teachers, fostering professional growth and collaboration.

Monitoring and evaluating student progress, using data-driven approaches to inform instruction.

Engaging with parents and guardians to support student achievement and address any concerns.

Contributing to the broader school community through extracurricular activities and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons for KS4 students.

Lead departmental meetings, setting clear goals and expectations.

Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine the mathematics curriculum.

Utilize formative and summative assessments to track student progress.

Implement interventions and support mechanisms for students requiring additional assistance.

Qualifications and Experience:

A degree in Mathematics or a related field.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a proven track record of successful teaching experience.

Experience in leading or managing a department or team within an educational setting.

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for innovative teaching methods.
