Progress Teachers are working closely with various mainstream Leicestershire secondary schools to appoint strong graduates with specialisms in English, Maths, and Science for a range of permanent and long-term teaching assistant roles.

This is the ideal role for recent graduates who are passionate about education and considering taking their first steps into a career in teaching!

Key Responsibilities:

* Support teachers in delivering KS3-KS4 lessons across English, Maths, &/or Science.

* Assist in the preparation of teaching materials, resources, and activities.

* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to positive progress.

* Collaborate with colleagues to assess progress and provide constructive feedback.

* Participate in extracurricular activities and school events as required by the school.

* Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions for students, including those with diverse learning needs, to enhance their understanding and academic progress.

* Liaise closely with colleagues and parents/carers to provide updates on progress and plan effective next steps to safeguard attainment and progress.

Qualifications/Requirements:

* A bachelor’s degree in English, Maths, Science, or a related field.

* Passion for education and a desire to make a difference in students’ lives.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced educational setting.

* Previous experience working with young people, either through tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering, is advantageous but not essential.

* A DBS on the Update Service OR willingness to obtain.
