We are looking for a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to come and work in our Suffolk branch, based in the town centre of Bury St Edmunds.

Prime Appointments are a well-established, family run independent recruitment agency who have been operating in East Anglia for over 30 years. Specialising in manufacturing, production, warehouse, office & finance positions.

This role is a 40-hour week, Monday – Friday, working hours between the times of 8.30am and 5.00pm, the base salary for this position is between £24,000 – £26,000 & you can make commission to increase your salary further. On target earnings of between £30 – £40k by end of first 12 -18 months. However, this is uncapped, so potential to do far better!

Part of this role will require travel to our head office in Witham 1 day a week. At Prime, we pride ourselves on our family values & going to head office once a week allows you to work with the wider team.

Trainee Recruitment Consultant Duties:

Recruiting for various positions that range from warehouse operatives to management positions

Carry out online searches for candidates on a variety of job boards

Carrying out candidate interviews to see their suitability against client specifications

Contacting clients to see if we can help with any live jobs

Consulting with clients to ascertain full job specification giving advice on salaries

Negotiating fees with clients

Meeting current clients on face-to-face basis to understand their business setup and job requirements

Liaising & candidates throughout entire process, ensuring we are always offering the best customer service

Consistently meeting your weekly KPI’s

Occasional travel to and from our head office

Experience required:

As a trainee recruitment consultant, you will have EXCELLENT communication, time management and organisational skills, motivation, and genuine desire to succeed, a proactive attitude is essential

Confidence to pick up the telephone & speak to anyone

Comfortable working in a small team of 3 staff

Ideally educated to ‘A’ level standard

Experience within Recruitment Consultancy beneficial but not essential.
