General AdministrationUndertake all relevant administrative duties for departmentAccurately and promptly raise orders utilising internal systemsEffectively communicate via email and telephone in an appropriate manner2. Critical PathTake ownership to manage Critical Path to ensure information is accurate, up to date and deliveries are on timeProvides regular updates through appropriate communication across the team and to suppliers on any identified issues3. Sample ManagementChase and manage samples to ensure they are kept tidy and correctly labelled to be available promptly for fit sessions, best sellers, press and promotional meetings as required4. Quality Assurance (QA)Chase and prioritise samples for fit sessions in line with the Critical PathAttend fit session with Critical Path information and ensure samples are accurate to match with order requirements5. Commercial AwarenessUndertake regular benchmarking to keep up to date with competitor activity and report findings to Buyer to assist with range developmentDemonstrate understanding of customer profile to actively contribute to research of new trends, colours and themesPresent findings of weekly sales report to Team in Best/Worst meetings as agreed with Buyer6. Supplier ManagementContinually communicates with suppliers about the status of orders, lab dips and samples to ensure achievement of the Critical PathContinually develop knowledge of all aspects of supplier baseAssistant Merchandiser Our Merchandising team is all about managing our intake of stock to our 350c stores, so if you are ready to test your analytical skills (Must enjoy an excel spreadsheet) along with your passion for fashion, then the Merchandising team is for youThe Merchandising team are an important part of the business as they ensure that we have the right products, in the right store/website, at the right time with the right quantities. Working closely with the Buying team, merchandisers plan and build the ranges taking control of stock levels to maximise profit.Responsibilities/Objectives:AdministrationTo competently plan and organise workload to ensure administrative tasks are completed accurately, on time and allow for completion of ad hoc analysis as requiredTakes responsibility to proactively communicate to the team any identified issues so that so that resolutions can be prompt, to achieve the required deadlines or critical dates.Takes ownership to ensure all documentation and systems are maintained and kept accurately up to date with the required information.Systems managementWork with the Merchandiser to develop understanding of various order requirements, including delivery methods and sizing analysis, ensuring accuracy of data input onto the systemsDevelop knowledge and understanding of all internal systems and processes and possess effective skills within Microsoft Excel and Office.Intake management & Supply Chain ManagementTakes responsibility for stock intake into the business by proactively liaising with suppliers and providing timely communication of any changes to merchandiser and team.Proactively participates in the critical path meeting with the team by utilising knowledge of order status to identify any issues and opportunities.Develops positive working relationships with the stock allocation function to ensure stock is sent to the right stores at the right time to optimise sales across the grades during the product life cycle.Trading & commercial AwarenessUndertake analysis of weekly sales reports to interpret and present back department performance and to identify Best and Worst selling productsContinually review, and update product line cards to ensure Merchandiser is kept informed of current sales and stock levels, proposing appropriate action to support for future trading performance.Able to demonstrate understanding of the Peacocks customer profile by carrying out regular Peacocks and Competitor store visits and communicating feedback in the appropriate way back to the team.Produce and interpret daily sales information accurately and communicate this back commercially to the team.
