Peace Recruitment are working withan award winning, leading independent, multi-disciplinary construction and property consultancy who are looking to grow there establishedteam in Edinburgh.

This is a role for an Experienced Building Surveying Graduate/Intermediate Building Surveyor who are working towards APC who are looking to further their career.

About the role

Assisting the established building surveying team. You will carry out the day-to-day duties of a Building Surveyor on allocated projects, assist the management team with the mentoring of junior staff and resource management, and work towards designated RICS APC route.

Experience requirements

AutoCAD proficient

Building surveys: condition surveys, schedules of condition, defects diagnosis inspections, detailed measured surveys

. Project building surveying: design including the preparation of AutoCAD drawings, preparation of statutory consent applications, preparation of tender documents, project monitoring and contract administration.

Building pathology: identifying building defects and failures and developing solutions including advice on estimated costs and programme.

Property management: preparation of planned maintenance programmes including elemental cost preparation.

CDM services (desirable but not essential)

About you

Building Surveying BSc or BSc (Hons) degree (accredited by RICS)

Competency in using AutoCAD

Knowledge of refurbishment and alteration of existing buildings (essential)

Relevant building surveying consultancy experience (essential)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desire to progress your career with a leading consultancy

Full UK driving licence and have use of own vehicle
