THE ROLE

As a Cyber Security Trainee, you will be guided through various aspects of cyber security under the mentorship of experienced professionals. The programme focuses on practical training and hands-on experience, providing a comprehensive understanding of cyber security.

KEY AREAS FOR DEVELOPMENT

During your time with us, you will gain a solid foundation in cyber security basics, including core terminology, vulnerabilities, and threats. You will explore the types of attacks that can affect both organisations and individuals, as well as the internal and external threats to information security. Your training will include essential cyber security measures, cryptography, and how to manage organisational vulnerabilities. Additionally, you will learn how to deal with incidents involving lost or stolen confidential information and receive employment advice and support to enhance your career prospects in cyber security.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the development and implementation of security strategies
  • Conduct security assessments and analyse vulnerabilities
  • Support the security team in daily administrative tasks
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents
  • Assist in the development of security policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with security standards
  • Research emerging security threats
  • Assist in the implementation of security tools and technologies
  • Participate in security awareness training programmes
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project deadlines are met.

HOURS OF WORK:

  • Monday Friday: 09 00

HOLIDAYS

  • 25 Days holiday; a combination of floating days and compulsory company shutdown over the Christmas period
  • All Bank Holidays
