What does the role involve?

As Graduate – Risk Analyst, you will join our Risk team in our Consumer Finance Division. During the two-year programme, you’ll spend time in several key business areas working on a range of projects including, Enterprise Risk, Corporate risk, Risk Analytics and Financial Crime, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop yourself as a professional, and potential leader.

In this role, you’ll work across our Risk department and contribute to our Credit and Business Strategy. You will monitor our Consumer Finance portfolio, using both internal and external data sources, and then provide accurate and timely data and narration to help inform and provide options for review.

Our office is based in Leeds but we’re passionate about hybrid working, attendance at the Leeds office is a minimum of 2 days per week.

Some of your key duties will include

  • Perform analytical work on trend and route cause analysis to provide insights to support future improvements
  • Undertake monthly monitoring of our Consumer Finance portfolio and provide key updates on any significant fluctuations
  • Proactively identify improvements to our credit risk strategy, scorecards, and financial models to help improve profitability
  • Identify potential risks of new or existing retail or personal lending products, and analyse whether their product offering within our Risk Appetite

You’ll have recently graduated and achieved a 2:2 or above in your chosen degree.
