Our Electrical Power Network Engineer Apprenticeship is a minimum 27-month programme that is open to either Graduates or applicants with 2 years relevant industry work experience plus a minimum level 4 qualification.

This programme will develop the skills you need to progress, enhance your understanding of engineering and give you the best experience. Through a variety of structured placements and personal and professional development, you’ll see different areas of the business across a variety of locations. You’ll be able to take the theory you’ve learned and put it into practice and at the end of the programme you’ll have everything you need to be a brilliant engineer within Northern Powergrid.

You will need to have attained, or expect to attain by Summer 2024, either:

1.A Degree; or2.A Level 4 qualification (plus 2 years relevant industry experience)

Your qualification will be In one of the following appropriate engineering subjects*:

?Physics?Computer Sciences?Mathematics?Engineering and Technology (Electrical, Mechanical or Telecommunications)

Starting salary circa £36,000 (increasing to circa £42,500 on successful completion of the Programme)

* This must be detailed on the qualification framework for higher education covering England, Wales and Northern Ireland, as well as being in a relevant STEM subject for the role

Successful applicants will receive an invite to our Stage 1 interview late February and, if successful, a stage 2 assessment centre will then be held late March
