28,000 – 30,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Location:

Washington, Tyne and Wear. Hybrid working is available.

Travel will be required on to go to client sites when necessary.

Hours:

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Our client operates within the renewable energy building services sector, dedicated to reducing carbon emissions through the use of innovative technology across various projects, including:

  • Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) and Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) systems
  • District and communal heating systems
  • Solar photovoltaic (PV) installations
  • Other low-carbon technologies

The Role:

Support the Lead Electrical Engineer and the Senior Electrical Engineer with the development of energy-saving solutions.

  • Assist Senior and Lead Engineers for project delivery
  • Provide help from the initial idea to final stages of development.
  • Assist with site surveys and building reports for solution development.
  • Collate technical and commercial information from manufacturers/suppliers
  • Produce and design calculations for different projects.
  • To be aware of the environmental aspects and impacts relevant to the work of the job holder as well as ensuring compliance with any environmental legislation that is applicable to the job.
  • Assist in optimising the design processes that are currently in place.
  • Take initiative to develop and grow under mentorship of Senior Electrical Engineer.
  • Ensure all aspects of new and ongoing projects are in line with up-to-date best practice industry standards.

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Recently graduated with an Electrical Engineering degree (other relevant degrees with be considered).
  • Knowledge and experience of using AutoCAD and Revit is preferable.
  • An interest in renewable/low carbon technologies.
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering is preferable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to talk to clients.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel and Word).
