Trainee Accountant

We are a firm of Chartered Accountants with 3 partners and 16 members of staff in Eltham, Southeast London. Our clients mainly consist of high earning personal tax clients and owner-managed limited companies. We also have a specialism in the healthcare sector, with GP practices and private medical clinics making up a large part of our client base.

As a trainee accountant, your day to day role will include the following duties:

  • Preparation of personal tax returns
  • Preparation of company accounts
  • Company secretarial work
  • Payroll
  • Contacting clients via email and telephone
  • Ad hoc administration duties to assist colleagues as and when required

As part of your study package, you will also be enrolled in a college course to gain your AAT qualification.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade 4(C) or above.
  • 3 A’ Levels at A-C including Maths.
  • IT competent and be familiar with computerised packages.
  • The ability to work on their own initiative and be flexible.
  • Good communication skills and telephone manner.
  • The ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Full time role – Monday to Friday.
  • Salary £23,000 p/a
  • Right to Work in the UK required.

The package will include:

  • 20 days Annual leave per annum, 25 days from year 2.
