Risk Graduate Scheme Information Security And Business Continuity Stratford-upon-avon 2025

Type: Graduate
Region: West Midlands

Join our Risk graduate scheme and become an integral part of our mission to manage risk across NFU Mutual. Our dedicated Risk teams support business objectives by helping to deliver customer benefits through a comprehensive understanding of regulatory rules, enabling informed, risk-based decisions. In this role, you’ll contribute to our success by safeguarding NFU Mutual against a wide range of risks, including strategic, financial, and operational threats.

You’ll also have the chance to engage in exciting project opportunities, especially in response to regulatory changes that shape our industry. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to complete professional qualifications, such as the ISC2 Cyber Security Qualification for those keen to understand cybersecurity, the CBCI (Certificate in Business Continuity) for those focusing on resilience, and the CIPP/E (Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe) for those interested in data protection.

You’ll thrive in a collaborative and supportive environment where sharing knowledge and challenging conventional thinking is encouraged. With exposure to various business areas and the opportunity to work closely with managers at all levels, you’ll have the chance to influence our business and make a real impact. This is your opportunity to develop your skills while helping to protect our organisation.

What you can expect

Expect a hands-on experience that immerses you in the heart of NFU Mutuals operations. Your rotations will involve tackling real business challenges, such as reviewing security controls, developing robust plans for operational resilience, and ensuring our data protection measures are up to date. You’ll collaborate with diverse stakeholders, from IT experts to senior leaders, gaining invaluable exposure across the business. Your role will require critical thinking, problem-solving, and strong communication skills as you create and test business continuity plans to ensure we’re prepared for any eventuality, from cyber-attacks to market disruptions.

Your future

Throughout the scheme, you’ll strengthen your core skills, earn recognised qualifications, and develop essential competencies to set you up for a successful career. You’ll be fully supported along the way, with a dedicated buddy and mentor, plus a strong network of current and former graduates. As you near the end of the scheme, a careers coach will be there to guide you in planning your next steps.

It’s not all about work either. We encourage our graduates to get involved in extracurricular activities, from volunteering and organising charity or social events to representing NFU Mutual at industry events, all in line with our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework.

Application process

If your application is shortlisted, you’ll be invited to complete an online assessment designed to measure your potential for success, such as your ability to learn and solve problems. The following stage is a short video interview, and the final stage will be an in-person assessment centre, where you’ll participate in a variety of activities, including a group exercise, a role-specific exercise, and a skills-based interview. These will be taking place end of November / early December.

This vacancy may close early depending on application volumes, so we recommend getting your application in as soon as possible!
