The Role:

We’re looking for a new Trainee Accountant to join our finance team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking to advance their finance career.

 

We’ll support you every step of the way to becoming a fully trained Accountant. This includes coaching, courses, exam support & study leave, we’ll work with you to design the best programme of learning that best supports your job responsibilities & your own needs.

 

Directly supporting the Overheads Financial Controller you will have great exposure across the finance function including (but not limited to) month end accounting, budgeting and forecasting.

 

Key responsibilities:

·       Calculating and posting of month end journals, including accruals, prepayment and reclasses

·       Processing monthly depreciation and prepare capital expenditure spending reports

·       Ownership of several balance sheet accounts including balance sheet reconciliations

·       Supporting in the preparation of the monthly management pack

·       Finance administration duties including purchase order creation, goods receipting, vendor creation

·       Assist the Overheads Financial Controller with production of forecasts & budgets.

·       Play a vital role in year-end procedures, including preparation of year end audit support files

·       Adhoc tasks and reports

We’d love you to have:

·       Willingness to learn and develop within the role

·       Great attention to detail and organised

·       Ability to improve processes, with a focus on efficiency and clarity

·       Good level of Microsoft Excel knowledge including vlookups and pivot tables

·       Experience in SAP and workday adaptive an advantage but not a necessity
