They specialize in Engineering & Building Services with teams responsible for life cycle and sustainability analysis, cost planning, quantity surveying and value engineering. They also provide expert reports, loss and expense claims, mechanical and electrical audits and dilapidation surveys, and estimating, project engineering and management services to all facets of the construction industry. MPGQS is regulated by the RICS. They have a large staff base and are capable of providing services in Europe, the UK, the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time Mechanical & Electrical Assistant/Project Quantity Surveyor/QS Apprenticeship role located in London Area, United Kingdom, with flexibility for some remote work. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Project Quantity Surveyor with cost estimates, preparation of tender packages, and material and equipment take-offs. Additionally, the candidate will work closely with the design team to provide mechanical and electrical solutions, ensuring that they meet the client’s needs and comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.Manage and oversee all aspects of surveying projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.Conduct site visits and surveys to gather accurate data and measurements.Prepare detailed reports and cost estimates for clients.Collaborate with project teams and clients to ensure project objectives are met.Provide expert advice and guidance on surveying techniques and best practices.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a closely related fieldAt least 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferredWillingness to join RICS Chartered Surveying ApprenticeshipStrong knowledge and understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, standards, and regulationsAbility to read, interpret, and create technical drawings and specificationsProficient in using software such as AutoCAD, BlueBeam, DashPivot and Microsoft OfficeExperience with project management, cost estimation, and quantity surveying is desirableExcellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team or independentlyStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, design teams, and other stakeholders in a projectBenefitsCompetitive salaryHybrid working model (2 days in the London Farringdon office, 3 days remote/on site).Exciting projects in the commercial, healthcare and residential sectors, with opportunities to work on other projects as well.Professional development and training opportunities including support to achieve RICSSupportive and collaborative work environment.Great company culture and team spirit.
