The central finance team across our European region provide a trusted front-line financial support service.

As part of our commitment to developing and servicing our key clients, we are looking for a Finance Graduate to join our team based in either Croydon or Cambridge where you will gain a range of financial experience over the next three years involving, but not limited to:

Management Accounts basic accounting principles, big data analysis, corporate budgeting & forecasting, cost modelling, utilisation, and FTEs analysis.

Financial Accounts financial controls, KPI analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, consolidated accounts/year end audit.

Project Accounts working capital control, project & proposal analysis, contracted work & forward order book, project budgeting & forecasting.

Potential to work in Credit Management or Treasury cashflow forecasting, sales ledger management, engaging with stakeholders, working capital analysis, bank account management, liquidity management, bid advice (currency risk exposure), bond advice.

To be eligible for this opportunity, you will have less than 12 months relevant experience and have a degree or are expected to achieve one of the following degree disciplines:

  • Accounting and Finance or similar

In your application you should be able to demonstrate your interest in the role and working at Mott MacDonald through relevant experience, such as studying relevant modules, or previous work experience.

We are looking for graduates with the following characteristics:

  • Qualified AAT or studying towards ACCA / CIMA, or a skilled numerate person looking to start their accountancy career.
  • Must be a good communicator (both written and verbal).
  • Good understanding of Excel with the capability to work with large volumes of data.
  • Strong analytical skills with a good eye for detail.
  • Ability to see tasks through to conclusion.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
