12-month Undergraduate Restructure & Recovery Placement – September 2024

Type: Graduate
Region: London

This opportunity is aimed at undergraduates taking a ‘sandwich degree’, seeking practical work experience before committing to enter the profession.

We offer the chance to fully understand working life and the unique culture we have at MHA.

This is a paid internship lasting for 12 months. Please note that this is a competitive application process. This may involve online testing and a formal interview.

We advise all types of clients, from individuals to companies and partnerships, in a range of industry sectors. We work with our clients to achieve business restructuring and recovery.

Who are we?

Formed in 2008, we are a mixed and varied team of business recovery professionals. This mix creates an invaluable balance of expertise and experience combined with an enthusiastic, dynamic and fresh attitude. We can draw upon the team’s experience to provide clear and concise advice under the pressurised circumstances commonplace during these difficult circumstances.

As an R&R trainee, you will start off by learning the fundamentals, assisting on a variety of corporate insolvency procedures and issues, but will have the opportunity if you show the aptitude to progress to taking responsibility for your own portfolio of cases.

Our reputation is one for honest, objective and innovative advice, and our team members share a committed and focused attitude towards achieving results. Our values underpin how our people and clients experience MHA. Through our core values of Service; Teamwork; Attitude and Relationships, we can help you achieve your goals.

What will I do?

You will work with experienced people, with both Partner and client contact. You will be a valuable part of a team undertaking real client work, contributing to the teams overall success. We will ensure you receive as broad an exposure to practical work as possible. You’ll also work closely with a mentor who’ll provide support and guidance during your time with us.

Entry Requirements

We do not require interns to have a business or financial background. However, we do ask that applicants for our placement programme have at least 112 UCAS points at A-level, or equivalent, all achieved during the same exam year and excluding General Studies, plus are on track to achieve at least a 2:1 degree in any discipline.

Thank you for choosing to apply for one of our 2024 Trainee positions at MHA. We are looking forward to hearing more about you!

Our advice is for you to work your way through the application process with care and attention, as the questions you answer as part of your application will allow for our assessors to determine whether they should progress you through to the next stages. This will include online testing and an assessment centre – dependent on the role you are applying for. This is your time to shine!

Give us as much detail as possible, spell check your answers and don’t forget to re-read the application before you submit it at the end!

We are looking forward to reading more about your academic background, motivations of starting a career within accountancy and why you have applied to MHA!
