Junior Estimator

Our Client are looking for an experienced Junior Estimator to join our growing construction team and work on a variety of diverse projects across multiple sectors, including new builds, fit-outs, refurbishment and civils projects.

The Role- Junior Estimator

Prepare detailed cost estimates, inclusive of in-house bills of quantities for D&B projects, autonomously across varied sectors

Managing pre-qualification, quality and pre-bid submissions

Collaborate with the bid team to develop competitive and comprehensive tender submissions

Conduct thorough cost analysis, ensuring accuracy and completeness of estimates

Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to embed a relationship culture and obtain competitive quotes and negotiate favourable terms

Identify and assess potential risks associated with construction projects, proposing effective mitigation strategies

Identifying opportunities to add value throughout the project process

Work closely with the Managing Estimator and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with company objectives

Supporting members of the estimating, surveying and pre-construction team

The Person

Must have 2+ years experience in civils and/or refurbishment works

Experience with Causeway or similar estimating packages

Experience in taking off of all building elements essential

Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field preferred but not essential

In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry best practice

Experience in pricing projects autonomously

both single and two-stage tenders and negotiated opportunities

A full UK Drivers License will be required for this position

£30,000-£40,000 (negotiable)
