What to Expect

We’re recruiting for interns to join our People & Culture team at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, Surrey. As a People & Culture Intern, you will develop your skills in our generalist, learning and development, and talent acquisition environments.

Please note this position is on-site 5 days a week at the McLaren Technology Centre, to best facilitate your learning and development during the scheme.

The closing date for applications is Friday, 15th November 2024.

Virtual first stage interviews will take place in early January 2025, with the second stage of the process being on-site assessment centres in late January/early February.

What You’ll Do

As a People & Culture Intern, you will be gaining valuable experience within our People & Culture team on a one-year programme. This will include working in these key areas:

  • People Generalist Work: Gain exposure to the full spectrum of People related activities, including employee relations, performance management, and People policy development.
  • Learning & Development: Assist in the design and delivery of training programs, helping employees grow and develop their skills.
  • Talent Acquisition: Get involved in the recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to conducting initial screenings.
  • Talent Marketing: Get involved in how we best communicate within the external market to attract the very best talent. 
  • Onboarding: Help welcome and integrate new employees into McLaren, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems): Work with our HRIS tools to manage employee data and analyse People metrics.
  • Benefit and Compensation: Assist in administering employee benefit programs and compensation processes.

What You’ll Bring

  • You must be studying a relevant degree.
  • You must also bring a passion for cars, and a desire to work at the cutting edge of the automotive industry within our People & Culture business area.
