The graduate programme is designed to fast track you to working with clients. It’s an intense programme, aimed at developing both your technical and consulting skills. Mercer has a wide variety of clients in many different industries, operating a number of innovative solutions to manage their risks. Two separate analyst roles are available within the Defined Contribution (DC) team at Mercer, one within the DC solutions team and another within the DC advisory team:

DC solutions is a key growth area for Mercer with over £18 billion of assets under management, the role is for an investment specialist within this team. You will support senior colleagues by working with teams across Mercer to ensure that the investment offering remains market leading. This will involve constructing investment reporting materials and commentary, ensuring effective governance and monitoring of the solution as well as responding to client queries and attending client meetings.

The DC Consultancy team focuses on providing investment and governance advice to a wide range of pension scheme clients in this rapidly growing market, with the opportunity to make an impact on improving the outcomes of millions of members across the UK. You will support senior consultants in building client relationships and providing advice to our impressive client book through day-to-day tasks such as data analysis, investment strategy reviews and the completion of regulatory documents, as well as the opportunity to attend client meetings from a junior level.

Successful applicants will be required to complete the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) after joining. They will also have the opportunity to undertake the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification or the Associate of the Pensions Management Institute (AMPI) qualification.
