Suitable candidates will be able to search, verify, and edit short-form videos for our website.

Qualifications:

Strong background in Video Journalism with an understanding of news on a national and international scale

Experienced video editor capable of quick turn-arounds, with multiple projects on your plate at any given moment

Ability to identify, vet, and pitch, local and global, video lead stories

Effective communicator and team player who will collaborate with, journalists and editors to create compelling work

Laser-focused, organized, and exemplifies meticulous attention to detail

High proficiency in Adobe Premier

Responsibilities:

Searching social media and agencies for relevant videos to add to stories

Clearing video content for use in stories

Verifying UGC

Writing headlines and preview text for videos

Editing short form content

Pitching video content to provide new lines / move stories on
