Graduate Teaching Assistant Birmingham, B1 90 – 105 Per Day Full Time September 2024 start

LTF recruitment are seeking to appoint a dedicated graduate, looking to begin a career within education. This amazing opportunity is based in a positive and thriving secondary school located in the Birmingham area. This is an outstanding opportunity for a graduate to develop their skills in a supportive environment with exceptional facilities, where the best possible education is provided. The ideal candidate would be a compassionate and caring individual with aspirations to build a career within education.

The role/ responsibilities:

  • Support students to develop academically, socially and emotionally to work towards their best possible outcomes
  • Provide support to students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups delivering effective and appropriate interventions to improve essential skills
  • Adapt learning to ensure that it is accessible to all students
  • Keep track of student progression and key targets by liaising with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Provide general support to the classroom teacher by preparing the classroom/resources

Requirements:

  • Have a positive and can-do attitude towards supporting students
  • A passion and desire to work within education
  • Experience within a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential
  • Be an effective communicator, able to work closely with students, staff and parents
  • An enhanced DBS and two references
