Trainee Quantity Surveyor

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our growing business for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic team. Working closely with and responsible to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, we are looking for a proactive, talented and ambitious individual to join our expanding team.

This is a great opportunity within our business, as the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop through getting involved in all stages of the project and your duties will include; managing site budgets, calculating and submitting variations, site visits to monitor subcontractor activity and build up payments and working closely with site teams and clients. The position will help you develop good knowledge of procurement and commercial management.

You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong numeracy, literacy and IT skills, the ability to work to tight deadlines and work well within a team.

We are open to applications from all candidates educated to a minimum of A level standard or equivalent. You will need to have experience and an interest in the construction industry and willing to work towards an apprenticeship degree in Quantity Surveying. With the ability to apply yourself in a professional manner, with the eagerness to learn from your peers, youll have excellent communication skills with the drive to learn and the ambition to build and progress on your career with Lovell.
