Junior Account Manager

Location:

East Grinstead (Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home)

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (5:00 PM on Fridays)

Salary:

£24,000 per annum

Reports to:

Business Development Manager/Account Manager

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, with a focus on commercial results. A good

team player with the communication and organisation skills to operate across all levels of the business and client base. Attention to detail will be key and high standards of written work and accuracy.

Confident in creating Word, PPT, and XL spreadsheets. With guidance and support, you will be a key team member in this small, family-owned business that operates at a top corporate level. You will be working closely with our Account Manager ensuring that all tasks and projects are delivered seamlessly and on time. Based in East Grinstead, your presentation will be smart and professional.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Directly manage a portfolio of business accounts, ensuring clients receive marketing materials, products, and services promptly.
  • Client Relations: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing and new clients.
  • Management Information: Prepare management information for clients and benefit providers.
  • Marketing Support: Assist the Business Development Manager (BDM) with mail outs, flyers, and outreach tasks to support new business.
  • Webinars: Schedule, update current collateral, provide technical support, and ensure seamless delivery of webinars.
  • Roadshows: Collaborate with the Account Manager to organise logistics and collateral for roadshows, ensuring seamless delivery to new and existing clients. Attend roadshows and events as required, representing the company.
  • Content Creation: Assist with content creation, social media posts, sourcing, research, preparation of collateral, events, and client collaborations.
  • Team Meetings: Present at team meetings, showcasing updates and project progress.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with the ability to create bespoke documents.
  • Strong communicator with excellent English and correct grammar.
  • High attention to detail and standards of written work.
  • Commercial awareness and a business-minded approach.
  • Numerical skills.
  • Confidence in face-to-face meetings with clients.
  • Professional presentation and attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Adaptability and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Desired Qualifications (Not Essential):

  • Experience managing a diverse client portfolio.
  • Account management experience.
  • Experience in a commercial environment.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a small team.
