We are looking for a confident and motivated Junior Customs Analyst to join our Customs team. This team is mainly responsible for maintaining the corporate customs compliance effort and HMRC legal obligations required to account for goods entering the UK.

The role requires strong analytical skills to handle a significant volume of import trade datasets to facilitate business decision-making in customs compliance. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and enhancing data quality while consistently conducting post-clearance audits to ensure accuracy.

What you’ll do

  • Conducting ongoing internal post-clearance audits
  • Developing reports and customised dashboards to communicate findings effectively  
  • Identify trends and patterns to inform business decisions
  • Supporting the customs team in the developing and maintenance of data management. 
  • Working closely and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

What you’ll need

  • Knowledge and experience of data analysis, data management and reporting
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to draw meaningful conclusions
  • Level 2+ Certificate in Customs Compliance, or other applicable customs and trade certifications and diploma is desirable.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel is essential.   
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to use their own initiative
  • Highly focused and accurate with an uncompromising eye for detail
  • Hands-on approach and can-do attitude
  • Ability to accommodate last minute requests with ease and efficiency
  • Confident using Microsoft Office packages
