As Accounts Trainee at KYN you will be responsible for supporting the finance department in preparation of financial records and its financial control of the business.

Whilst working in this role we will support you in completing a development programme and studying towards a full CIMA / ACCA qualification to reach Chartered Management Accountant / Chartered Certified Accountant status.  This role is ideal for someone who wants to develop their professional skills and grow as the business itself grows.

About the opportunity:

As a Accounts Trainee you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely management of accounts payable/receivable
  • Accurately managing bank reconciliations
  • The expense process ensuring that these get paid within the agreed timelines
  • Raising sales invoices
  • Raising purchase invoices
  • Managing payment runs and processing purchase invoices
  • Reconciling multiple bank accounts & credit cards
  • Helping to maintain accurate financial records
  • Supporting in the preparation of financial statements
  • Assisting in the preparation of VAT returns. and other statutory filings.
  • Supporting the finance team in preparing management reports.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Acting as a brand ambassador who demonstrates and leads the KYN values

About you:

You will:

  • Have a passion for numbers and finance
  • Be efficient, have excellent attention to detail and highly organised
  • Be a friendly, flexible, compassionate, kind, and caring individual who enjoys working in a team.
  • Have exceptional excel skills, including advanced formulas and data manipulation.
  • Have an A level or equivalent in maths
  • You will have excellent oral and written communication skill
  • You will have High levels of confidentiality and integrity
  • Be comfortable working with numbers and analysing and identifying trends in data
