Jumpstart exists to connect exceptional junior salespeople with top VC-backed startups, and our process for doing this is a little different…

  • Startup spotlights: every month ~25 fast-growing, high-impact startups will pitch their junior sales roles to you over Zoom. Spotlights allow you to speak directly with the founder & gain a real understanding of the company.
  • Fast track to interview: make applications go straight to interview with the startups of your choice. We’ll be on hand to support you with plenty of training throughout and will receive an application outcome within 2 weeks (!) of an introduction.
  • Ongoing mentorship and support: once you’ve landed your perfect role, youll join our active community of 400+ Jumpstart alum to support your career growth, plus get access to cool perks like mentorship & networking events!

There are three main backgrounds the programme is most suited to:

  • Super impressive & sparky grads. Those who have less formal sales experience but who are proactive, energetic and eager to learn.
  • SDR or BDR experience (~1 year). Those looking for more impact & faster progression in a startup environment.
  • Sales adjacent experience (~1-3 years). Those in recruitment, field sales, customer success, teaching, real estate, hospitality or any other customer-facing roles.

NB – We also look for evidence of hitting or exceeding targets and for proactivity (i.e. athletes, musicians, uni society committee leaders, side hustle entrepreneurs).Most importantly, we look for:

  • Excellent verbal and written communicators
  • Natural relationship-builders
  • Incredibly motivated and outcome-focused
  • Highly proactive and willing to learn independently
  • Excited about working for a mission-driven company
  • Up for working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same
  • Happy to get stuck into anything and everything

  • Average base salaries: 30-45K + commission + equity.

We care about outcomes rather than tick-box criteria, and its often the case that the perfect person for the role has a CV that looks a little different.
