Unlock your passions at White Cross Vets Roundhay

We are a fantastic, small animal practice located in Leeds. Roundhay has a strong and established relationship with the surrounding community. A lot of the staff remain from when the practice was originally opened and they value the gold standard reputation that they have for excellent client patient care. The clinic have a wonderful team which include three full time Vets and one part time Vet.

We also have a Head Nurse and a Head Receptionist who lead alongside the Clinic Director. The team hold ‘wellbeing sessions’ each month where the whole team down tools and have downtime together. They also enjoy socialising together regularly. The vets and nurses have individual passions and CPD is a huge focus. Shortly a nurse and vet will be completing acupuncture CPD!

Recently, we have replaced both of our ultrasound machines and the dental processor. They hold a laparoscopic kit onsite as well as the Phovia system. Roundhay has all of the usual gadgets that you would expect in addition. Acupuncture will shortly be offered following training completion too!

Step into a supportive start

Your normal hours of work are 40 hours per week, across either 4 or 5 days a week. Monday – Friday between8.30am and 7pm. You may also be required to participate in a weekend rota currently running at 1 in 5, 8.30 – 12.30. Initially (depending on development) these would be alongside another Vet.

Roundhay is currently fully staffed, you would be joining us as an additional person meaning the opportunity for shadowing and a personalised support system is here. The aim would be to adapt the role to your needs at the time and really provide space and time for settling in and learning.

The whole team are passionate about supporting one another and the view would be that they would support whatever aspirations you develops during your time at Roundhay. Initially lots of time for case exploration, extended appointments and time with a Vet on ops every week leading to a more personalised approach depending on the graduates’ interests and how they develop.
