Purpose of the Role

The Accounts Apprentice will assist in a variety of different duties within the Finance Team to help further your skills and knowledge towards your apprenticeship. You will have good attention to detail, while forming an understanding of basic accounting and using different accounting systems and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Running reports and saving correctly
  • Processing accounts payable invoices
  • Completing credit application forms
  • Communicating with the wider finance team on a day-to-day basis
  • Assisting with cash book reconciliations
  • Supporting with trial balance reviews
  • Helping with any audit requests
  • Assisting in any finance admin duties including filing, scanning and cheque processing
  • Working across all areas of finance to gain an in-depth knowledge of the wider function

Any other adhoc duties as and when required from the Accounts Payable Manager, Income Supervisor or Head of Financial Operations.

Experience:

  • No previous experience is required for this role, a willingness to learn and conduct yourself well in an office environment.

Skills:

  • Able to communicate face to face, via email and telephone
  • A good understanding of Microsoft packages including Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Qualifications:

  • You will be working towards your AAT Level 2 or equivalent
